Seabreeze SF12TA "Off the Wall"? Bed/Bathroom Heater with SMART "ThermaFlo"? Technology

Don't waste your money!
I am sorry I purchased this heater, I put it in a small bathroom and it hardly
heats the room! What a waste of money!!

failure of design
heater itself is first rate
the wall attachment was mis advertised in photos ( not seen)
and is cheesy flimsy and unworkable
it does not plug directly into the socket
it has a cord and plug with a too short prong and it doesnt stay plugged in with the cheap plastic adapter provided
we had to literally screw this heater into the wallbaord
do not recommend it to anyone

does just what I wanted
The heater hangs on the outlet, or sits on the floor if desired. It heats quickly, quietly. rapidly and efficiently.

Westinghouse 7247300 Alloy Two-Light Reversible Three-Blade Indoor Ceiling Fan, 42-Inch, Brushed Nickel Finish with Opal Frosted Glass

Surprisingly easy install
This is the first ceiling fan I've been able to install by myself.

Rather than screwing the motor assembly to the bracket after the electrics are assembled (which is what I'm used to and really requires a second person), Westinghouse has designed the mounting bracket to accept the motor assembly and downbar via a clever little ball-and-socket type joint. This holds the fan together, freeing your hands up for the electrics, and makes just a huge difference.

The instructions suggest putting the blades on before mounting, but I'll confess I didn't. Very little wobble on initial install, though.

One minor problem: the mounting bracket was substantially larger than my electrical box, so the mounting screws provided wouldn't fit, and I had to use others, which are screwed in at an angle. Not ideal, but not a huge problem, either.

Looks, &c. are what I wanted. The blades are MDF, which is to be expected at this price. The fan's a little...

Tempest winds on a teapot budget
this things kicks out the CFM's with almost no noise. not only that, it is by far the easiest assembly and install experience i have ever experienced with a ceiling fan. would recomend.

Great Quality @ a Grett Price
Very surprised at the quality, appearance and operation of these attractive litle fans! Only wish I needed more of 'em! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

West Bend 84915R Versatility Slow Cooker with Insulated Tote and Transport Lid, 5-Quart, Red

Newer isn't always better
I have the older version of this crockpot and have used it for many years -- until the interior teflon lining wore off! I love my old West Bend slow cooker, it fits a whole chicken or roast just right and it pops into the dishwasher for easy cleaning. This newer version is a little less deep (it holds about 1 cup less liquid) and a whole lot thinner, lighter, and less sturdy. For me, I'd rather they had left out the carrying pouch, which I'll never use, and invested the money into the unit itself. Even the teflon coating on the inside is more fragile, and although it says "dishwasher safe" I am hand washing it because I'm afraid the dishwasher will ruin the thin coating.

Overall, I still like it better than the big, heavy, clunky and hard to clean porcelain crockpots, but like every other company and everything else nowadays, Westbend didn't make this to last. I imagine I will have to buy another one long before the older version would've given up the ghost.

Heaven Fresh Aroma Luxury Fixed Showerhead HF 501 with Vitamic C and Negative Ions

MAGICAL!
This shower head is DIVINE! I'm also going to order it for my mom and my sister.. it's that good. The pressure is perfect, feels just like when you go to the salon to get your hair washed. The water quality is soft and the aroma is light. Next time I might even try the lavender filter! Great product you will NEVER regret buying. I'm a believer!

Initial feel is Wow!!!
To be honest, I've only used it once, but I really like this shower head. It feels great and my hair felt much more silky after rinsing it. It is a major improvement. I do have an additional Sprite brand filter that also helps. Someone else recommend the combination of the 2 and I think it's a good idea. I generally don't do reviews unless a product is exceptionally bad or good. We'll see about longevity and how long the aromatic filter lasts, but initially it's great.

Great shower head
Smell only lasts for the first minute or so. My wife hops in after I'm done and there is no smell till next time. Great water flow, drenches you with water. Creates a wind gust of sorts that feels nice too. Not a low flow tho so be careful about using all the hot water.

Optimus H-5280 31-Inch Oscillating Quartz Radiant Tower Heater

Optimus Heaters - The Opinion of an Idiot
Winter only happens once a year and is separated by many months that dull the memories of the bad heaters you bought in winters past. For the winter season of 2010/2011, I purchased two different Optimus heaters for my house, the H-7328 and the H-7318.

I bought both units at the same time in October, so they sat in their unopened boxes well past the time you could return them. When winter came I set my brand new heaters up. The 7318 rattled so bad I could barely hear myself think. And within days the 7328 stopped oscillating and started to smell like burnt wiring. By February neither unit functioned, both thermostats apparently didn't work anymore so the unit that would actually provide heat would stay on forever, even if the unit fell face down on the carpet. YIKES, talk about dangerous.

So in March when I went to throw these units in the garage, on top of the pile of totally useless things I have bought in years past, I noticed something odd. I reached down and...

Good heater but don't knock it over..
I've had this heater for a year and a half and haven't had any problems with it till
one day I knocked it over. The thin glass heating element doesn't have any support except
for the top and bottom. I knocked it over and the element broke in the center.
I would have been good for the manufacture to add a couple supports along the length
of the element to support it. Buying a new tube is out of the question. Manufacture
wants you to ship it to them for repair. It's cheaper to buy a new heater.

Not the best heater I've ever bought
I recently bought this heater for the purpose of warming my study which can get quite drafty in these winter months. I usually get by with just a coat and a glass of wine or two but my wife insisted I try to purchase something to keep me warmer as I am getting older and my breathing has been labored as of late. By the by I decided to purchase this heater based on its price and the virtues extolled by the maker. I must say I was not impressed, it has done little to heat the interiour of my study, this foolish device just sits in the middle of the floor and buzzes. The room has not heated at all and it seems it would get warmer if I would just burn the thing. All is not a complete waste though because it does make an interesting conversation piece when I invite fellows into my study to chat due to its futuristic look and flashy lighting. If only it worked better. Oh well

16x25x5 Lennox X6670 Replacement MERV 11 Plus Carbon AC Furnace Air Filters Qty 4

Replacement for Lennox X6670, Plus it's MERV 11 w/ Carbon Filter
I bought these filters as a replacement for the X6670 Lennox 16x25x5 MERV 10 Filter Media that is the OEM filter for our Lennox furnace. Those filters usually go for around $32-33 both online and locally, and I wanted to find something that was a little more economical. These were cheaper, plus they were MERV 11 instead of MERV 10, and they had a carbon mesh filter.

I uploaded two comparison photos of the used Lennox X6670 filter that I removed with one of the new Nordic Pure filters so the differences between them could be seen.

The size of the Nordic Pure is 1/8" larger in both width and height compared to the original Lennox filter. I did not have any trouble inserting the Nordic Pure filter into the slot in the furnace, as I would imagine 0.125" is well within the tolerances for that slot.

I was concerned that going over the MERV 10 rating would restrict airflow, but the Lennox...

love this machine
I received this machine for Christmas and I have used it everyday since I received it. I love the preprogrammed settings. I mainly use the smoothie setting and the soup setting. You put your ingredients in the blender and walk away. I love how smooth the smothines are. I have made smoothies with flax seed, strawberries, blueberries, kiwis and other fruit that I thought there would be problems the seeds and there are no problems. If you still see the seeds, just run it a couple seconds longer. The soups are amazing. I love the squash soup recipe in the cookbook and have even substituted sweets potatoes for the squash. The other recipes to try are broccoli soup, tortilla soup.
To speed myself up in the morning, I get everything ready and set out the night before. cutting board and knife are if I will need it. Flaxseed is already in the blender, along with protein powder (if I plan on using it), so in the morning I just get out the fruits and vegetables that I want in the...

Nespresso CitiZ C110 Espresso Maker, Red

Try it and buy it!
I wanted to purchase this machine a while ago, but couldn't find coffee capsules that I liked. That's changed.

I took a second look at Nespresso when the Pixie came out, but after using the Pixie in the store on multiple occasions, I wouldn't purchase it. (Please see my Pixie review). I instead purchased the Citiz.

It's a great machine, producing consistent quality coffee from cup to cup with a lovely crema at the top. When you test the coffees, read the descriptions, and look for the intensity numbers (which can be found in the descriptions and on the sleeve which contains the capsules). If you can get the brochure with a wheel on the back page, it gives you acidity and bitterness ratings for each blend. I found that I do not like the "citrus" and "flowery" blends, but prefer the more intense blends which are still not bitter.

A couple of tips:

if you want more of an Americano, brew as directed for the different varieties, then eject...

Beautiful
The CitiZ Nespresso machine is a beautiful, simple, small, and well designed espresso maker.

This machine does exactly one thing, and does it extremely well; it makes the best darn espresso. There are two buttons one for espresso the other for lungo. Essentially they are two different timers; lungo runs the pump for a longer time. These buttons are easily programmed to longer or shorter delivery times.

In use, there is nothing easier. Lift the black handle on the top of the machine. Drop a Nespresso capsule into the slot. Close the lever down. Press the button for the size of drink. When finished, lift the lever and the used capsule drops in a clear plastic reservoir (seen just behind the cup of espresso in the product picture).

From cold machine to a cup of espresso is roughly 1.5 minutes. Warm up time is around a minute, and brew time for the cup is about 30 seconds. Couldn't be faster, couldn't be easier.

On to the quality. You will never...

"For people who have a doorman.".
COFFEE. It's fine. My standard is Peets -- a much darker roast than Starbucks. Nespresso is not quite as strong, but ristretto shots of their darkest blend come close to the Italian, not French, flavor I like. On a good day, I could do better grinding beans with a $300 Italian grinder and pulling shots through a $700 Italian espresso machine, but the average was no better.

CONVENIENCE. Nespresso wins running away. That's because this is not the greenest purchase you will ever make. The capsules are hard to recycle unless your rinse them, which defeats the major benefit, which is convenient quality coffee.

COST. It's a rip off. Nespresso is building and aggressively defending a razors and razor-blade franchise (or a printer and cartridge franchise). As the Times quoted a marketing executive at goo.gl/nHesc "The idea was to keep it to the level of people who have a doorman.". See goo.gl/rhors for an explanation of the Nespresso marketing model. Engreener - Hand-held Ultrasonic Fruit & Vegetable w/Ozone

Gr8 product, does an amazing job.
I would like more of these ! I wonder why Amazon no longer sells them ? The Engreener works great for food and also does a super job on other items like kitchen tools, dentures, jewelry, etc. I haven't tried restoring plates and dishes and china, but I do have some that I will be trying with the Engreener. Just one of the many wonders it works on foods: after a few moments, the "spring mix" is so clean you can actually taste each different flavor as you chew (it's not just one big "greenish food taste" anymore). Please let me know when I can purchase this again. Jertoons@aol.com

Don't buy Dyne's product.
I bought this product and it didn't work during the first usage. I tried to talk to DYNE, but the manager never called me back. I then contacted them online several times and left messages several times, it's completely no use. No one ever contacted me back. So no, this is a horrible quality product. Don't waste your money on this.

Met the Expection
Easy to use and met the exception. Can use it in any container. I use it to clean not only the Veg and fruit, but also my glass and jewelry. Great product, but I wish it can be cheaper or at least do not charge the shipping for amazon prime

DeLonghi EN670.B Nespresso Lattissima Single-Serve Espresso Maker, Black

Expensive, but worth it
We just got this machine over the holidays and have been more than impressed. In fact, we're down-right addicted to it. It truly is very easy to use and makes great espressos, lattes and cappuccinos (kudos to Nespresso for excellent pod quality). Has completely replaced Starbucks for us, which has resulted in big savings and convenience. Also perfect for dinner parties, where we can make drink after drink after drink with practically no effort.

The only issues I've found is that it does drip a little after making drinks, which leads to some clean-up, but pretty minor. And, those pod costs do add up, but that's the case with any machine and still a fraction of what you would pay at Starbucks.

Others have complained about the temperature of the drinks, and it is a little cooler than I would like for the first drink. However, I found that running the "clean" mode on the milk container before making the drinks helps heat up the tubes and makes for hotter initial...

Ok, but there are better options
If you enjoy coffee-only drinks, it works well. For larger (and milk-based) drinks, there are a few issues that made me return this machine:
- Frother is difficult to insert. The rubber seals are tight, and you have to push it in forcefully at times. I had the feeling that the seals or the plastic connectors might break at some point.
- Milk doesn't come out warm enough. Unfortunatelly, I tried for 2 weeks to adjust this by pre-warming the milk in the microwave and all the other tricks out there. It helps. But it's another step which can add to the preparation time.
- If you like to use farily tall mugs, the mug has to be narrow (diameter < 3 inches), which is not easy to find.
- You have to be very meticulous with cleaning the frother: rinse with steam, then rinse with water, otherwise it WILL clog.

Of course this machine has pros:
- compact and integrated. Place the mug and push one button and everything is done for you
- Good build...

Excellent Machine
This is actually our first expresso/coffee machine. We bought because we always have friends over who complain about not having good coffee.
I've been a tea drinker my entire life and buying this machine for guests seemed like an expensive choice. however, I did read a lot of reviews of Nespresso and its flavor, so we went for it anyways. Since my wife does drink Capuccino and latte, the espresso only machine was no option and the Lattissima seemed to be the cheapest fully automatic capuccino option for nespresso (the aeroccino option in other machines seemed too much of a hassle). I also figured that since the patent of Nespresso on the capsules is about to expire, the prices will lower over time, so hopefully in the future we do have better prices per capsule!

Here a more detailed description:

Set up:
Anyways, the machine arrived and I was pretty excited to say the least. Setting it up went rather quickly.
I found the manuals good enough for the...

Tiger NFI-A600 Thermal Magic Cooker, 6.0-Liter

Superb cooker
My daughter gave the cooker to me for Christmas. I wanted a new cooker for a long time since I drink a lot of chicken soup for dinner and rice porrige for breakfast. Someone has told me about Tiger brand. I mentioned it when my daughter came for dinner one night. I am so glad I did that. It serves exactly the purpose I wanted. I use it in the morning to cook my chicken soup before I leave for work. The soup is ready when I get home for dinner. Then I cook my porrige after dinner for it to be ready next morning to be served. It used to take me hours to cook either one. Now just 30 minutes on the stove, the cooker will do the rest. The material is good. I am very happy with this product.

Cooks with no electricity!
I enjoy how Tiger uses its thermos technology to keep cooking food after you take it off the stove. Good peace of mind and thrift.

Low quality and poorly made
Just received one I bought from Amazon and I am returning it. The cooker was of very low quality and very poorly made. There were uneven surfaces and dents inside and out. I used Tiger products before and liked its quality very much. That's why I bought this Tiger cooker. But this cooker did not show the Tiger quality. I was very surprised and totally unsatisfied. This review is on the product I received, not on the seller. I am working with the seller to return the cooker.

SPT 4.4 Cubic Feet Compact Refrigerator in Stainless Steel, Energy Star

Great
I put this in a $20K+ outdoor kitchen I built for a customer. I liked it because it had actual stainless steel on the door versus many that have a sticker that tries to look like stainless.

Sunpentown International Inc.
The compact refrigerator stopped working five months after purchasing it. Supposedly, there is a one-year warranty, however SPT will not accept Amazon's invoice as proof of purchase. In other words, SPT will not honor their warranty, or they purposely are making it very hard for me to get this item replaced or repaired. I am very dissatisfied with SPT's warranty. I will never buy another product made by SPT.

Food Network Belgian Waffle Maker 4 Sections

Great Belgian waffle maker
There is not one thing I am unhappy about with this Belgian waffle maker - the cord storage is great, the fact that it can store upright is a wonderful space-saver and it is easy to clean. The best part is the waffles are consistently cooked evenly, come out light and crispy without sticking. It is important to read the instructions. The waffle maker should be in a shut-locked position when cooking the waffles. The beeps do not indicate that the waffles are ready, just that you need to keep an eye on on the amount of steam coming out. When the steam slows down or stops the waffles are ready; you just need to figure out how crispy you like them. Follow the instructions and you will get perfect waffles every time!

Impossible to clean
I bought this waffle maker from a retail store just a few days before I planned to host a New Year's Day 'open house' brunch for my friends and neighbours. I had selected it based on the brand name and also on the fact that the size of the waffles were not too enormous for my guests or my little children. I liked that it makes four waffles at a time, which is great when there are several little hungry mouths to feed. Someone else in the long line-up at the registers told me that she owned this particular waffle maker and was quite happy with it. (I didn't do a lot of research on the product, as I usually do, because I had just had a baby before Christmas.)

I was quite unpleasantly surprised and disappointed when I discovered that the waffle plates - the cooking surfaces - are not removable from the rest of the appliance. The grooves are so deep and narrow that I can't clean inside them completely. I have to place a dish cloth over a plastic knife to get into the...

Very satisfied
I love this waffle maker. It makes four nice sized waffles that cook evenly on both sides. Not sure why it has poor reviews. Over the years, I have owned three different waffle makers and this one has been the best.

Microwave Cookers Microwave Egg Boiler

The eggs exploded in the microwave when I use the microwave cookers the way directions stated
These microwave cooker's are useless they do not cook the eggs and they do not work good and they make a mess in your microwave

it is so small
it does not cook a egg. It doesn't come with directions, I tried adding minutes and it blew up in microwave

Egg Boiler did not cook all of the way
The eggs were runny all the way around and in the center. I had to cook, then stir, then cook again. I thought it would cook the first time I put an egg in. It is also hard to clean since the cooked egg is stuck to the sides. Spraying the boiler made it slippery during the initial cooking time but by the second, it stuck.

Nice sealer
Nice cheap sealer, I sealed several hundred bags with it. The cutter proved to be an unneeded bell and whistle, the bags I was using were easily separated at the seal. Teflon strip has a very short life, less than a hundred seals - be ready to stock up on them if you are planning a big batch.

Deni French Toast Stick Maker

Love this!
I found this by accident. I was looking for a Christmas gift for my dad, when I stumbled upon it. We have four children who LOVE the Schwan's french toast sticks. They are about $8 - $10 a bag for around 35 sticks. Kinda pricey with four walking stomachs. We bought this and it paid for inself in a week, with better tasting, non pre-prossesed, and better for you french toast sticks! I love this thing. 2 slices of bread, 1 egg and milk mixture makes 6 sticks. Takes 3 minutes. Can't beat that! :0)

AMAZING!!!!
I got this as a mothers day gift. I tried pancakes in it and followed the directions that it came with. They were very good and perfect size for my little ones (2 and 4years) I then tried homemade corn dogs! Can I just say this machine is my new love! I took a package of Krustys honey cornbread mixed it the way the box said and then cut up hotdogs in small chunks (I used 100% beef ones) and poured it into my Deni and waited.....it was about 4 mins and I could smell they were done. I took them out and let me just tell you They didnt last 5 mins in my house. I think this is a wonderful machine, it is priced very cheap for all that it can do. It comes with recipes on how to make brownies and cake sticks and I just cant wait to try them. I have never gotten something as useful as I have found this. I can now get rid of my pancake maker and my waffle maker because there is a new Tool in town ;)

Great item for quick breakfast
Great price and is very easy to use love the ease of clean up and easy to store and start up cooking.

Adagio Teas triniTea Electric 32-Ounce Tea Maker

Best on the market by far!
I was very weary when I purchased this product. I had read many reports of the triniTea leaking, the pot spilling, the unit not getting hot enough to make a good pot of black tea, the unit being temperamental about the order each segment is put into the stand, etc. Here is what I have come to realize. There are 2 different versions of this unit out on the market. The first version, which I assume has the above issues, beeps 4 times when the tea is finished (the unit beeps after water heats, after steeping finishes, and after all the tea is in the pot). The newer version beeps 3 times when the tea finishes. I have come to this conclusion based on a number of different reviews. I have no official word on this from adagio, but I would bet money it were true. So my suggestion is, when you first get the unit, let it do a run through with just water, no tea. If at the end it beeps 4 times, dry it off, pack it back up, and send it back with amazon's amazing return policy. If it...

Made by tea drinkers for tea drinkers
Finally, an electric tea maker that was clearly designed by tea drinkers and not as an after thought by the coffee-maker crowd. It heats the water in the top chamber, drops it into the steeping chamber with the tea, steeps for however long you've set it for, then drops it into the carafe at the bottom. Perfect! In the winter I use mine almost daily. I set it up the night before, then just hit the on button before I hop in the shower in the morning - hot tea with no risk of over-steeping! Pros: two temperature settings (for black/green tea); variable steeping times so you can adjust to your taste and the type of tea; can use either tea bags or loose leaf tea; keeps your tea hot all day so you can make a whole pot and not worry about it cooling off like it would if you used a traditional teapot. Cons: while it is possible to pour the tea without dribbling, you must pour slowly and carefully and hope that the stars are aligned just right. But then again, I don't believe I've ever...

WARNING !!!! STEEP CHAMBER IS POLYCARBONATE !!!!!
I got this tea maker today and checked it out. I used to have a Krups teatime, which died last week after 25 years of use. The Trinitea is of much lower quality operating with the same technology. The water heating chamber looks like non stick or painted black inside, my Krups had a aluminum chamber. The lid of the tank is marked PP5 which is ok according to US plastic food safety standards. THE TEA STEEPING CONTAINER IS MARKED >PC< IN A TRIANGLE, which means Polycarbonate, which could be leaking toxins under high heat. (duh, boiling water!). The lid of the steeping chamber and the lid of the glass carafe are marked >7< in a triangle with ABS written underneath. which is not recommended for food and might leach toxins which may be causing cancer. Mostly used for elimination water pipes in the US. This appliance is made in China !!!!!
Do your own research before you buy !

Cadco CSR-3T Countertop Hi-Power Single 120-Volt Hot Plate

Fast isn't the word!
If you are looking for a super fast hot plate. look no further. I tried so many through the years and settled for this one. If you do alot of cooking or have a big family don't hesitate to buy this. Thermostat is deadly accurate. The only bummer is that it doesn't have any temperature on dial but you get the drift pretty quick

OK, but don't expect to be as good as normal range
I just bought this product after reading many reviews. I got the unit today, and it seems to be sturdy and good quality. My wife used it and she is quite happy with the heat output compare to other models we had in the past; cooking is a snap. However, for 1500 watts, I expected more heat. Also you should not expect to have as much heat as a normal range, considering normal range cost a lot more and normally 220 volts vs. 120 volts on this unit. On scale 0-10 as far as heat production compare to a normal range, I would rate it 8 out of 10. This should do for emergencies, extra cooking needs during holidays or if you need to cook something outside. A word of advice, if you buy this product or any of the burner/hot plate from any manufacture, test it using ground fault interference outlet i.e GFI; sometimes it is not grounded or tested right from the manufacture and will trip GFI circuit. If it happens, just reset the FGI circuit and obtain a exchange or refund, trust me nothing worth...

Jura-Capresso 13187 Impressa E8 Super-Automatic Espresso Machine, Black

Love It!
I have to say, I *love* my E8! I tried one at a store and, after a lot of research, settled on Jura Capresso because of the cleaning cycle feature (most others you have to remove the "brew group" once a week or so and manually clean it - I was *so* not going to do that!). I settled on the E8 versus other JC's because of the price and the features... the higher-end models' extra features (none of which directly affect the quality of a single cup) were worth the additional cost, especially since I live alone.

I've no complaint about the temperature of the coffee, as long as I pre-heat my cup. A little hot water out of the spiget does the trick. I use a decent coffee bean from a local store and have excellent results. I did have to play around with the grind settings, but I expected that.

The frother (I don't have the fancy add-on) does a better-than-decent job of frothing/foaming milk; however, it's not as good as a coffee-house machine wielded by a pro, with...

I love Miss Anna
OK, this thing ain't cheap. I mean, how can you ever justify spending $1000 on a coffee maker?? I named mine Miss AnniBirthenTine. She was so expensive, that she was my 'Anni'versary, 'Birth'day, and Val'enTine's day gift all rolled into one item! That being said, I admit I have a bit of an unhealthy relationship with my coffee maker. I love her. Fine. I said it.

One thing I have noticed is that Miss Anna is smarter than I am. She tells me when to clean her, fill her with water, etc. And, I love that. She's clean and polite - never demanding. Here and there she does some things I am not sure of, but nothing has been serious. For instance, I also experienced what the reviewer who gave one star said - intermittent coffee - part way through she would just turn off. I did not call customer service, but instead did some troubleshooting on my own. I came to the conclusion that the beans I bought were a bit oily (which is warned against in all the manuals and videos)...

coffee convenience
I bought this machine about two years ago. At the time I thought it was pricey, but decided that in the long run, it would pay off. It has.

PROS:
CONVENIENCE. There is nothing like coming down in the morning, pressing a button, and having a good coffee, which is freshly ground for you while you wait. The separate boilers allows you to immediately switch from foaming milk to producing espresso.
EASE. My partner and parents (who wouldn't touch my Gaggia classic because it was too complicated) all use this machine without hesitation.
DURABILITY. After two years, our well-used machine (2-3000 cups) has not needed a repair.
VERSATILITY. The coffee bypass is extremely convenient, given that my partner and I frequently prefer different roasts - it is very simple for one of us to grind our own and use the bypass to produce our preferred cup.
ECONOMY. The initial price tag for this machine is high. But when you compare it with the cost of buying 1-2...

Wristech Blood Pressure Monitor Fully Automatic Large Easy to Read Display

easy to use & accurate
I have long been skeptical of automatic, or electronic Blood Pressure measuring devices, finding them to be not as accurate as the old fashioned, Cuff and stethoscope auscultation method, but this nice easy to use compact wrist device is pretty consistent.
Measuring a relatives BP 6 times over a 30 minute period, with this, and then the old fashioned way yielded very close numbers.
If anything the automatic cuff was one or two points higher, but not significantly different.

It's very lightweight, easy to put on for self testing, or for a person assisting someone who is less able.
The easy to follow instructions are full proof.
Battery life is good.
Price is very reasonable.

I gave it 5 stars, couldn't really find anything to complain about.

inconsistent readings
I've experimented with this cuff by doing successive readings and it's incredibly inconsistent.
I'd return it if I could find the original package!

LOVE IT!
The best thing about this blood pressure monitor is how compact it is. I travel a lot and can take it with me wherever I go. Other monitors were bulky and not good for travel. The numbers are large and easy to read. So glad I bought this item.

Spt 3.2-Liter Stainless Hot Water Dispenser

love it
i love this because i am one who puts my tea in the microwave, forgets about it and then has to reheat again. this is great because all you do it press the unlock button and then the express button and you have the perfect temperature water. i use on my oatmeal, for my tea and also to put in a bowl so i can heat up my babys bottle. its great!

WARNING- be sure you always have water in it or it will rust. i had to buy another one becuase we went on a 2 week vacation and the water was really really low. Since it automatically reboils the water when it gets below a certain temperature alot of the water evaporated which lead to no water and the inside rusting. as long as you remember to fill it when it gets low you will be fine. Makes alot of cups of tea.

Convenient and fast
I was happy to receive my hot water dispenser yesterday. The main thing I found lacking in this unit were instructions. They were incomplete and poorly written. There should be a "First time use" section because I know that there must be residue in the unit from manufacture. So, do I run a pot of water through the system, do I let it heat, should I use a cleaner? None of these things were addressed. Also, in the troubleshooting section there's a Problem: Water has an strange smell/taste. Resolution: May be from residue or (something to the effect of) this is how the pot is. Sort of a "get used to it, that's what our appliance is like" attitude.
Does heat amazingly quickly (again, no info in the instructions on how quickly it should heat up so you know if it's working properly or not). It took less than 20 minutes to heat the entire pot but I'm not sure if it was done in 1 minute or 20 because I could not sit and watch it-I just thought 20 minutes was...

does not boil
chose this one for the price and the look. and it does look cool. -but that's really not all i expect from a hot water dispenser.
it is supposed to, at least, at first, BOIL UP THE WATER (that's the basic isn't it) -and then it keeps it warm. BUT IS DOES NOT BOIL. it does only heat up the water to some degree and then it stops and switches to keep warm, no matter how many times you push the reboil button. so it's literally STILL TAP WATER and the GERMS ARE NOT KILLED.

So what difference does it make comparing with drinking the hot water directly from the taps?
it costs me 56 bucks and takes up space on my counter, period.

Blendtec Designer Series Blender, FourSide Jar - Black

Great blender, but remember, it is JUST a blender!
Love the Blendtec. Have only had it for a month or so, but my kids love the smoothies I make (with kale, asparagus, chia seeds, peas, anything green blended with frozen berries) and I think we will use it for years to come.

I bought this on a whim (it was between this and the Vitamix, and one of my favorite websites recommended this over the other), and realized after I took it out of the box that it is JUST A BLENDER. A very very expensive blender! I'm not sure what special powers I expected it to have...but it IS just a blender. Not sure how it compares to other less expensive powerful blenders.

It is LOUD on the settings that reach the blender's potential, and the designer series is lightweight and does shift on the counter at these settings, so you have to hold on. My one year old runs clear out of the room crying when I start filling the jar, anticipating the noise. And forget making a smoothie for breakfast before others are awake.

Overall,...

I love this blender!!
I'm so glad I took the leap and ordered this blender for my smoothies. I delivers just as advertised, cleans up very easily and has amazing power. So far, nothing negative about it!

Blender
I attended a workshop on whole eating and they recommended the Blendtec. I bought one and can't say that I'm overwhelmed with it's capabilities. For the price, I'd say don't bother.

AVANTI WCR682SS2 WINE COOLER 166BOTTLE ROLLOUT SHELVES

DELIVERED DEFECTIVE AND VENDOR WILL NOT EXCHG
Cooler was delivered to curbside, despite paying $300 for alleged "white glove delivery." Cooler was delivered defective. Plugged in and allowed appropriate time to cool down, however after 12 hours we discovered that the temperature controls did not work. Can not adjust temperature down. Only the UP button works. Called Amazon and were told to contact vendor. Vendor first told us to return in orginal packing with a Fed Ex label. Cooler weighs 275 pounds and was delivered by truck freight! Then they told us to get it fixed under warranty or accept a refurbished cooler if it could not be fixed. Totally UNACCEPTABLE to ask us to repair or exchange a brand new cooler for reburbished when we paid for a new product. Vendor does not accept responsiblity for their product. Product in general cheap construction. One stainless steel side panel dented and sharp spur on handle. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS VENDOR OR THIS PRODUCT. WE ARE VERY SORRY WE DID.

Difficult with larger bottles...
Nice cooler. Good price point. I like the controls and the even temperature regulation. The light and door lock are great small "details" that are quite useful. Door hinge is reversible and setup was a breeze.

My biggest issue is the drawer spacing...barely deep enough to accommodate the slightly thicker bottles that seem to dominate the market these days. To access the back of the drawer, the bottles in the front of the drawer get scraped right across the label. If the front row of bottles is turned sideways to keep the label from peeling off, they can't be read. What a nuisance! Needs about 1 more inch of drawer spacing to jump to an excellent rating.

favorite appliance
This is a great purchase! Not only do my wines stay a consistent 54 degress but it looks very classy and cool. You do need to maneuver some of the larger bottles but they usually fit if you pull the shelf out all the way or put the big ones (champagne, etc) on the top or bottom shelf. All in all, I am VERY happy with this fabulous wine fridge.

Rival CF156 black 1.5L fixed bowl deep fryer

A major hassle to get clean!
I bought this fryer last year for use at the lake during the summer. Though it promises a lot, I found out the hard way it doesn't exactly deliver all that it promises.

The biggest drawback to this fryer is that it is next to impossible to clean. The oil reservoir is non-removable, which means that you have to clean it one "wipe" at a time. I don't know who came up with this idea to anchor it into place, but its the worst thing in the world you could do with a deep fryer. You will spend hours trying to get it clean, only to give up and say "well, it's good enough".

The product also claims it has a "cool touch" exterior. Granted, it won't scald you but it isn't cool to the touch. Quite a bit of heat pours out of this unit and I'd recommend you keep your small children away from it.

Overall, while it does a great job frying SMALL quantities of food, the hassle of cleaning it far, far outweighs any positive marks for its cooking abilities. Do...

Great convenient deep fryer!
I've used this deep fryer for two years now ( ordered from Amazon Feb 26, 2009 ) and just realized I had never rated and reviewed it. I love it so much and feel it's one of my most convenient and useful purchases. I particularly love the fact that the fryer is "cool to the touch" ( and it truly is ), has the ability for the user to close the lid before lowering the basket into the oil to prevent burns or splattering. It's a perfect size for me and doesn't require a huge amount of oil. I can make a single serve in it or enough for up to three people of things such as chicken breasts, ( or any chicken parts one prefers ), french fries, both frozen or fresh potatoes, and it makes the very best onion rings, exactly like restaurant ones, that I've ever eaten. ( I make home battered ones or buy Nathan's brand frozen onion rings from the grocery store). Also keeps the food crispy and not soggy at all, not too oily, and with a nice clean taste to the fried foods, whatever they may be. I've...

Koolatron CR48W Kool 48-Quart-Capacity Thermoelectric Fridge, White

Didn't last long..
The fridge, while it worked, worked great. It kept my drinks nice and cool in my room. But after four months, the fridge started to emit a smoke smell and it stopped working correctly.

low performance
The motor freezes very easily, it doesn't cool very well. Not worth the money. it should have two motors. I didn't attempt to return it cause i'm a truck driver and it broke out on the road and I had to buy a black and decker from walmart, i couldn't carry both. don't waste your money.

Not Cold Enough
Do not buy this!!!! It keeps things about as cold as a corner of a cool basement or cellar. Milk will spoil, food will spoil. I sent the first one back, company pushed for an exchange rather than a refund saying it was a good unit and I must have recieved a defective unit. NOPE. It just plain is a cruddy product.

Sunbeam CKSBWFMP25 Mini Pancake Maker, Red

Cocktail Pancakes, Anyone?
My initial response upon opening, cleaning and making my first batch of pancakes was, "now I remember why I threw away my waffle maker and George Foreman grill".

The plates are not removable and it cannot be immersed in water, so it will take all kinds of contortions to clean it properly. And if you overfill which is very easy given its size, be prepared for the drips and spill all over the sides and that area just beyond the plates where crud easily gathers. (Area is not non-stick, so anything here needs to be wetted down and the water "soaked" in to remove. I needed a scrub pad to clean.). Though, one way to minimize spills is to pour in the batter, let the pancakes set up, then close the lid.

To be fair, I figured given the price that it didn't come with removable plates. So, it only accounts for a small portion of my disappointment. My biggest issue is that it doesn't make particularly good pancakes. And that's mostly related to size.

The machine...

Very fun, very fast
This is so easy and quick, the grandkids love it, and I found there are a lot of things you can do. I used strawberries with marscapone between two with a fancy tootpick for appetizers. I have also made blini for my caviar obsession. It's so easy to clean. I would suggest using a squeeze bottle to load the mix, makes it a lot easier. I have made up to 200 at a time, no problems whatsoever.

Sunbeam mini pancakes
I choose this item to make small pancakes for my great grand children and love it. Works great and it is fast and easy. I would recommend this to any one that likes the dollar pancakes. It only takes a couple of minutes to make 8 dollar pancakes and it very easy to clean..

Reddy Convection Heater, LP #TC101

Use a wrench!
Awesome little heater. Make sure you follow the directions and use a wrench to tighten the fittings. I did not the first time and caught the whole thing on fire. Other than that it heated up an oversized 2 car garage in about 20 minutes to warmer than the rest of the house. I used it to heat an area about 300 ft2 in an non-insulated outdoor tent and it worked well too. Just do not leave it unattended while it is on. The propane lasts along time and it was not noisy.

As expected performance
I bought two LP heaters. Both were as simple to operate and as safe as your typical gas grill. Both perform adequately on your standard gas grill LP tank. They do not use electricity which is an advantage during a power outage.

2 Neato Replacement Batteries; XV-11, XV-12, XV-15; Designed & Engineered by Crucial Vacuum

Wow!
Generally I don't purchase products that have not been rated but the other vendors that sell the product were out of stock so I went ahead and did the order. I thought I was getting a battery and a spare but it ends up that the Neato needs two replacements which is fine with me but some of the other vendors didn't make that point clear. Also, the batteries don't come with any instructions but as soon as I turned the unit over it was fairly obvious where the batteries went (near each wheel).

But the real difference came after they were charged up. The little bugger is back in shape. No more doing half a room and going back to the charger. No more random stops, or loss of the time. When I called the help desk they told me it sounded like a battery problem and I didn't believe them. Boy was I wrong. Been cleaning about 1400 sq ft a day for the last 2 weeks and recovering two bins of dust every day (guessing my dog has something to do with that). Great investment and...

Neato now has the energy to make it home
Neato kept vacuuming less between charges and shutting off far away from base. Installed these, which was very straight forward, and Neato runs longer between charges and, at the very most, shuts off a few from its base.

Loses charge after only a few runs.
The batteries worked properly (held a charge for around 30-40 minutes) for about 2 runs of our Neato (so I know it was installed properly). Now, less than a week later, the vacuum won't go for longer than 10-15 minutes. The old ones I had from Neato (~9 mo old) that I bought these to replace work better than that. I am returning them and maybe the replacements will work better.

Norton IM 83 Waterstone Case

works for what it is
I don't have room for a dedicated sharpening station. I break this bad boy out with my shapton ceramics loaded up (yes they do fit) and sharpen away. The stones are protected and any mess ends up in the bucket instead of on my workbench. It's also nice for when I go visit family and sharpen their terribly dull knives. Dull knives are scary and a nice toolbox of sharpening is great for traveling. I wouldn't buy this if you don't plan on sharpening away from home or if you have space for a real sharpening station.

Great Product
Exactly what I thought it would be. I actually have 4 stones but can keep the very coarse stone seperate.

decent for the money
First of all, I never simply look at the picture to determine what is in the box. I read the description. The description for this product clearly states there are no stones in the box. And if it did come with stones, I would question the quality for the price of this storage box.
That said, this is a convenient storage and work box for sharpening stones. the mess stays in the box, not on your work bench. Sure, $35 would be a better price, but I couldn't find anything better for the money.
Besides, I used my points to pay for over have the cost. And it was delived in 2 days at no charge. Not bad.

The Verona® / Magic Mill DLX Mixer - The Electrolux Assistent Bread Mixer, Red

Get the Electrolux now or when your kitchenAid breaks
I make bread every week using 8-10 cups of flour. My first mixer, a KitchenAid, always strained, made the Devil's noise and finally stripped gears after a year.

I bought an Electrolux 5 years ago and it is running like new. The person who told me about this wonderful mixer has had his for 20 years without a problem.

The advantages of this machine are numerous. It has an enormous capacity for home use; my 8-10 cups of flour bread does not stress it at all. It is quiet and uses less electricity. It uses a modern belt drive instead of cheap, noisy gears like the KitchenAid. Its design also has the huge advantage that the motor is below the bowl; this means there is nothing above the bowl making it easy to add ingredients (KitchenAid sells special scoops to add ingredients to overcome their design flaw).

I also use the whipping bowl attachment and it is also excellent easily whipping a couple of eggs or a large brownie batch.

A great...

this is the one
This review is for Electrolux Assistent, bought a few years ago from Amazon (5 yr maybe). It used to have a lot of good reviews. Guess now the product name changed and reviews are gone. Looks very similar -- there's one currently selling with 220v only still on Amazon. Mine is 110v for American market.

The mixer is super! I've used and broke two KichenAid models, all 5Qts and up. They simply burned out, couldn't finish a couple rounds of heavy kneeling of dry dough. I'm very satisfied with this mixer. We made dumplings every once in a while, and every time it worked hard and worked well. Well worth the money! I recommended it to all my friends.

Unique For Fifty Years
Electrolux has been producing this mixer in Sweden for over fifty years. It's well known in the rest of the world, less well so here because it's not in discount stores.

The Assistent (not -ant) works completely differently from American-style mixers. As can be seen, there's no mixer head with a hot motor hanging over the food. The motor is in the base. Instead of having paddles, dough hook, etc., driven from above, the big, heavy stainless steel bowl has a notch at the bottom that connects to the motor base. The bowl itself turns! Rather than having a beating paddle, there is a roller with spiral grooves that attaches to the arm shown in the photo, and this roller is what mixes. And does it extremely well, and without splattering food all over like a cheap Kitchen Aid. There is also a nylon scraper that scrapes the side of the bowl clean while mixing. The real revelation is being able to stand over this mixer and add ingredients, to watch everything and not be...

Air filters are like wood
I recently had to replace my filter. Simple project right? Well... Since air filters seem to be like wood it wasn't. You know how wood 2X4's aren't really 2" by 4"? You guessed it, air filters that are 14X30X1 aren't really that size either! I went to my local Ace, Home Depot, and Lowes looking for a filter. Bought some that said 14X30X1 and they would not fit into my panel unless I mushed them and forced them in. I thought, this isn't right. After finding out there are like 4 different sizes of 14X30X1 filters and all of them are bigger than the Glasfloss filter I had, I decided to just by more Glasfloss filters so to Amazon I went. They were the correct ACTUAL size I needed. No more worries for me for a few years or more...

Salton ICM21 Ice Cream Maker

Love this ice cream maker
Pros: 1) easy to use and makes great ice cream (especially with a foolproof eggless mix of whipped heavy cream, condensed milk, and flavorings); 2) only the freezing disc has to go in the freezer

Cons: 1) big and takes up lots of space; 2) not so easy to clean; 3) maybe not heavy-duty enough to handle strong ice cream flavors like chunky peanut butter

All in all, I love the machine. Especially the fact that the container doesn't have to be frozen, just the disc.
