Food Network Belgian Waffle Maker 4 Sections

Great Belgian waffle maker
There is not one thing I am unhappy about with this Belgian waffle maker - the cord storage is great, the fact that it can store upright is a wonderful space-saver and it is easy to clean. The best part is the waffles are consistently cooked evenly, come out light and crispy without sticking. It is important to read the instructions. The waffle maker should be in a shut-locked position when cooking the waffles. The beeps do not indicate that the waffles are ready, just that you need to keep an eye on on the amount of steam coming out. When the steam slows down or stops the waffles are ready; you just need to figure out how crispy you like them. Follow the instructions and you will get perfect waffles every time!

Impossible to clean
I bought this waffle maker from a retail store just a few days before I planned to host a New Year's Day 'open house' brunch for my friends and neighbours. I had selected it based on the brand name and also on the fact that the size of the waffles were not too enormous for my guests or my little children. I liked that it makes four waffles at a time, which is great when there are several little hungry mouths to feed. Someone else in the long line-up at the registers told me that she owned this particular waffle maker and was quite happy with it. (I didn't do a lot of research on the product, as I usually do, because I had just had a baby before Christmas.)

I was quite unpleasantly surprised and disappointed when I discovered that the waffle plates - the cooking surfaces - are not removable from the rest of the appliance. The grooves are so deep and narrow that I can't clean inside them completely. I have to place a dish cloth over a plastic knife to get into the...

Very satisfied
I love this waffle maker. It makes four nice sized waffles that cook evenly on both sides. Not sure why it has poor reviews. Over the years, I have owned three different waffle makers and this one has been the best.
