Factory-Reconditioned Hunter HR21421 Five Minute Fan 52-in New Bronze Ceiling Fan with Light

Piece of Junk!
I was told that Hunter was a good quality name. That has not been my experience. I purchased two Hunter ceiling fans w/lights, new from a local store (one was this particular model), and just after a year, both light assemblies have failed and need to be replaced at a cost of $40 each plus shipping. Of course the failure would occur after the warranty period. This will be my first and LAST purchase of a Hunter product. However, I will be purchasing the replacement parts rather than buying and installing two brand new ceiling fans. Fingers crossed that they don't fail again after a year.

Very dim lighting with only 40w bulbs
I was very disappointed with this fan. It's hard to imagine a situation where someone would want a fan this size which is so dim. It only takes 40w candelabra style bulbs so it really doesn't give off much light. It even has some internal circuitry to automatically dim the bulbs if you try to put in higher wattage. I replaced my previous fan in a small bedroom with this and it doesn't even light up that small room. It looks like it's hooked to a dimmer switch on 50%. I now need to return this and look for a fan with decent lighting.
