Best little steamer
This little steamer makes the best steamed vegtables, but the lid is great for a splatter guard on smaller plates. With the vents in the lid this little jewel is a great addition to my microwave. I use the little basket to rinse grapes and cherry tomatoes. Love this item.
I was really excited to see this...
But it didn't work for me either. I tried a regular long grain white rice and follow the instructions. After that didn't work I played around with adding more water, microwaving longer and changing microwave settings. Several batches later, I ended up with a rice that was not nearly as good as I can make in a pot.
Could not get it to work
I really wanted to love this product, but sadly I could not get rice to cook properly in this.
Maybe my microwave is not standard (I think it is), maybe there's something about the rice I was using (I tried two types), but each time I ended up with a soupy mess instead of cooked rice.
