Gatco 60016 Tri-Seps Serrated Edge and Point Sharpener

Tri-Seps has Bi-Seps !!
Nothing fancy here but certainly has its place among other sharpeners. The ceramic seems to be a fine grain and enough strokes will hone an edge very near hair shaving sharp. That's pretty good if you're in the field. I think it would compliment a coarser diamond rod or stone to keep you in cutting form. It sports a large and small curved edge for serrations, two flat edges and a hook or scribe sharpening groove.

The rubber base has angled edges to rest it on a table for proper sharpening angle but this procedure is not fool proof. I pulled the bottom rubber base off as I like to free hand and this allows for a longer stroke. It was only lightly glued and can be easily reinstalled. The beaded chain allows for field or keychain carry. Not a bad addition to my knife sharpening tool belt!

very handy and highly effective
I used this jobby to sharpen pocket knife with 1/2 serrated blade. It worked very well. I then used it to put the final touches on a kitchen knife. It worked very well. I then used it to put a sharp tip on my darts, which were very very dull. It worked very very well. I have not needed to sharpen a fish hook, but I am sure it will work very well when I do.

I highly recommend this very small lightweight sharpener. It sharpens everything.

It is 3 sided with different edges for different serrations. One of the faces is dedicated to hooks and darts/awls.

Great tool.

good little sharpener
Have purchased several of these for my fiance and I. My last one was over 10 years old and still useable I just wanted a spare.
