Teavana Large Infuser Glass Pitcher with Silicone Protectors, Tristan, 64oz

Not impressed
Overall not impressed with the product. The fact the pitcher is glass is nice, but that is just about the only pro. The lid is metal, but it is attached to the silicone top, so it has a tendency to flop around. If you pour at much more than a trickle, the fluid goes everywhere. The stainless steel mesh lets a great deal through, so much so that I usually just don't use it and use tea pouches instead. Nice design but many flaws
I'm a big lose leaf tea fan and was pleased to get this pitcher. At first I was really impressed with how it looked but after a few uses I was disappointed. The silicone protectors on the top and bottom show water spots really badly. I accidentally set the infuser part in the bottom without using the lid to hold it up and it cracked the bottom of the pitcher. I contacted the seller to they took forever to reply and provide a replacement. They ultimately did replace it with a brand new one but now I have to be really careful about cleaning and storing it so it doesn't break again. The pitcher itself feels frail to me and I'm always afraid I'm going to break it. It's also too tall to fit on the top shelf in my refrigerator so when I make tea for myself I have to clear out a part of a shelf in the door in order to keep it cool.

Really enjoying this infuser!
I became hooked on the Blueberry Kona Pop blend as an iced tea, but got really tired of making one (hot) cup at a time! My local Teavana store recommended this infuser which "brews" the tea overnight in the fridge. Amazing! I haven't put the carafe in the dishwasher, but I have the infuser...with no problems. As a pitcher, this isn't perfect. The lid doesn't seal tightly (hence the 4 stars). Too, if another reviewer played with the position of the infuser inside the carafe, the pitcher might not leak. Mine doesn't. I have no problem putting the pitcher right with my milk and o.j. in the door of my fridge, as others have. I must admit that I choked at the price (same as Amazon's), but life is so much better now that I have this!
